Employees Highly Valued
We are a BCBA-owned, locally-owned company that understands the value that each employee brings to the team. Each employee enables us to more fully serve the children and families of our community. We consistently work to increase benefit and advancement opportunities for SESD employees to make sure that they and their families are cared for.
The company started small, working primarily in the school setting and has continued to grow substantially. Since 2015, the company has shifted to offer more full-time hourly and salaried positions for our staff. Full-time employees currently enjoy a full benefits package, including health insurance, dental, and vision coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and a Simple IRA retirement plan with company match of up to 3% of annual salary.
In addition to the benefits provided by the company, employees are also regularly rewarded with perks to further show appreciation, such as gift cards, special events, bonuses, etc. Our goal is to foster a culture where every employee feels appreciated and valued for their contributions to our families and community.
Encouragement to Grow
Our company has a positive and supportive culture that encourages employees to engage in training, education, and experience that will support personal and professional development. In addition to the regular trainings provided by the company, the owner also works with employees to get them the additional training they need. This could be through additional in-person trainings, webinars, or conferences.
Team members are then encouraged to bring this information back and share it with the rest of the team. The newly trained employee and the leadership team work together to determine if and how the new training and skills should be incorporated into SESD’s current practices. This process creates opportunities for clinical staff to grow their skills and also can lead to them growing into different roles specific to the skill sets they have developed.
Additionally, we are a group of professionals who are ambitious in our pursuit of the science of ABA and its use to improve the lives of children, teens, and adults. As one team member’s interests and passions grow in a specific area of ABA intervention, that will benefit our current or future clients, they are supported in getting education, training, and experience in these new skills. We then work together as a team to determine if the intervention is viable for us to provide to our community.
